Sometimes it begins with the first kick. Sometimes it is the first lunchbox you pack, or the first time you realize someone else now depends on the choices you make.
You begin reading labels more carefully. You look for ingredients you recognize—not because you expect perfection, but because you want to feel confident about what you give your child.
How Origo Began
We Started by Making the Food We Wanted for Our Own Family
We know what it feels like to turn a package over and wonder why something made from fruit needs such a long ingredient list.
We kept putting those packages back. Eventually, we started making our own—simple fruit snacks our three boys would actually enjoy, made with ingredients we could understand.
That was the beginning of Origo.
The fruit did not change. Only the form did.
At farmers markets, we watched children turn down fresh strawberries, then happily reach for the same fruit when it was made light and crisp.
Nothing added. Nothing taken away but the water. It showed us that helping children enjoy fruit does not always require changing what is in it. Sometimes, it simply means making it easier to hold, pack and eat.

More Than Made Here. Grown and Made Close to Home.
Most of our fruit is grown in British Columbia, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and apples. Our haskap is grown in Quebec.
Our Froyo begins with local BC yogurt made with milk from organic, grass-fed cows, then blended with real fruit powder.
For products that qualify, Product of British Columbia communicates something more meaningful than where the final processing happened: the significant ingredients, processing and labour come from British Columbia. We name other Canadian origins, such as Quebec haskap, clearly.
